Charter of Business and Human Rights

Purpose of Enactment

SMT AMT Co., Ltd. shall comply with the laws and regulations of each country and region, support international human rights principles and norms such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the core conventions of the International Labour Organization, and establish and operate business and human rights policies, including internal and external communication, grievance handling, and relief procedures, to implement them.

Scope of Application

The application of this Charter of Human Rights shall include executives and employees (executives, regular employees, and non-regular employees) of SNT AMT Co., Ltd., and shall encourage all stakeholders in business relationships to respect this Charter of Human Rights. In the event that the matters covered by this Charter of Human Rights conflict with the laws and regulations of the local country, the local laws and regulations shall take precedence, and this Charter of Human Rights may be amended to reflect the laws and regulations and industry characteristics required by the relevant country, and separate detailed policies may be established if necessary.

All executives and employees of SNT AMT Co., Ltd. shall perform their duties in accordance with this Charter of Human Rights unless there are special provisions in the laws and regulations of the relevant country or the articles of incorporation or bylaws.

Fundamental Principles

Article 1. Establishing a Business and Human Rights Management System

SNT AMT shall respect all executives, employees, and stakeholders as human beings, conduct regular human rights education to prevent any act that violates human rights mentally or physically, and implement monitoring and grievance handling procedures for human rights violations through the ethical management department (Management Support Team).

Article 2. Prohibition of Employment Discrimination

SNT AMT shall not unfairly discriminate on the basis of gender, nationality, religion, social status, race, age, education, disability, gender identity, etc. in the operation of its personnel management system, including recruitment, promotion, compensation, and provision of educational opportunities.

Article 3. Guarantee of Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

SNT AMT shall encourage free communication between the company and its executives and employees to develop a healthy organizational culture, guarantee union membership and collective bargaining, and shall not impose unfair disadvantages for union activities.

Article 4. Prohibition of Forced Labor

SNT AMT shall not force anyone to work against their free will by unreasonable restraint of mental or physical freedom, including assault, intimidation, or confinement, and it shall not require executives and employees to surrender identification or other sensitive personal information as a condition of employment.

Article 5. Prohibition of Child Labor

SNT AMT shall comply with the minimum employment age standards set by national and regional laws and regulations, and shall not expose minors to working conditions that are harmful and dangerous to the human body.

Article 6. Industrial Safety Guarantee

SNT AMT shall regularly inspect workplace facilities, equipment, tools, etc., to ensure that all executives and employees work in a safe working environment and strictly comply with health and safety standards required by national and regional laws and regulations. In addition, it shall conduct regular training reflecting legal requirements and raise the safety awareness of executives and employees.

Article 7. Responsible Supply Chain Management

SNT AMT shall endeavor to ensure that its affiliates and partners share the values and principles of the Charter of Business and Human Rights, and may take necessary measures, including the suspension of transactions, in the event of any violations.

Article 8. Protection of Human Rights of Local Residents

SNT AMT shall manage changes in local communities due to the potential social and environmental impacts of the workplace and protect human rights. It shall strive to listen to the opinions of local communities and reflect them in business activities so that it can raise concerns about potential impacts on the area and residents in the vicinity of the workplace and resolve the issues.

Article 9. Protection of Environmental Rights

SNT AMT shall continuously develop and encourage activities to preserve the environment not only in Korea but also at overseas business sites, with partners, and in local communities.

Article 10. Protection of Client Human Rights

All executives and employees of SNT AMT shall prioritize the protection of the life, health, and property of clients when providing products and services and shall take the best measures to protect personal information collected through business activities.

Article 11. Prevention of Workplace Harassment and Abuse of Power

Executives and employees of SNT AMT shall not engage in harassment or aggressive actions that may interfere with the work of other employees and shall not unfairly instruct employees to perform tasks that violate related statutes and the company's regulations and processes or are unrelated to their work.

Article 12. Protection of Personal Information

SNT AMT shall protect the personal information of stakeholders, including clients, in accordance with national and regional laws and regulations and shall not use the information or make any other use of it without the prior authorization of the parties. In addition, it shall provide truthful information and refrain from providing false information.

Article 13. Compliance with Legal Working Hours and Working Conditions

SNT AMT shall strictly observe the working hours specified by national and regional laws and regulations and comply with labor relations laws and regulations, including social insurance, break times, and vacation provisions, to ensure compliance with minimum wage requirements.
